Meet Our Cast

Greg & Karen Freidus, Owners

We come as a pair...just like your glasses!

Greg & Karen are both native New Yorkers who met and fell in love right here in the best city in the world. After working for many years in our respective fields (Greg as an optician and Karen as Director of Sales on Broadway for Jujamcyn Theaters) we realized we could merge our two passions and create the world's first Broadway-themed optical store... and Center Stage Optique was born! After working in the optical industry for many years and shopping at various stores we wanted to make the retail optical experience more fun and engaging, while of course offering customers fabulous value! We strive to make Center Stage Optique a neighborhood hub for all of your optical needs, all while creating a unique and fun experience that makes you want to come back again and again!

Greg is a NY state licensed Optician and Contact Lens fitter and has been working in the optical industry for almost 10 years. He loves to understand the unique history of optical brands and connect each customer with the perfect pair. His favorite musicals are Starlight Express and Memphis

Karen has worked on Broadway for over 12 years and currently runs the Sales Department at Jujamcyn Theaters. She is passionate about the arts, fashion and giving back which all intersect at Center Stage Optique. She was in denial for many years about her near-sightedness until Greg came along and convinced her to get glasses and she hasn't looked back since. Her favorite musicals are Merrily We Roll Along and Crazy for You!
